Continuing Professional Development Courses
In my capacity as the CPD Trainer for the Driving Instructors Scottish Council, and have attended and have been involved in all of the CPD seminars and workshops set up by DSA and the various consultants during the past three years.
As I live and operate within Scotland, I can only offer sincere apologies to those of you living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, as unfortunately due to geographical reasons, I am only able to provide CPD training courses within Scotland. However, I can provide the actual written handouts on the various subjects, which will be issued to all ADI’s attending these courses, these can be ordered on this site and will be dispatched by post. These CPD courses can be arranged locally throughout Scotland. Provided that
there is sufficient demand, I will make arrangements to travel to any location,
which is suitable and convenient to the majority of ADI’s who wish to
attend within your local area. A full list of the current subject headings available can be viewed here. The full day CPD course will commence at 9.00 am with a 15 minute coffee break at 10:45 am, a half hour lunch break at 12.45pm, with a further coffee break at 3.00 pm, finishing at 5.00 pm. Coffee or Tea & Biscuits, and a Buffet Sandwich Lunch will be provided within the cost of the Course. The half day CPD Course will commence at 9.00 am with a 15 minute coffee break at 1045 am, finishing at 12.45 pm. or alternatively The half day CPD Course will commence at 1.15 pm with a 15 minute coffee break at 3.00 pm, finishing at 5.00 pm. Course Fees are as follows: Full Day (seven full hours) CPD Seminar / Workshop Courses are available at a cost of : £90.00 Half Day (three and a half hours) CPD Seminar / Workshop Courses are available at a cost of : £50.00 |
As a DSA ADI (car) you should already be aware that CPD is going to be introduced
on a voluntary basis in the spring of the year 2008, before it eventually becomes
compulsory at a later date. You may or may not be aware that when CPD does
become mandatory, every ADI on the Register of Approved Driving Instructors,
will be required to take one days training (7 hours) every year during their
four year period of registration.
